We know that we said last years Tangled parties were going to be the last but how could we resist, due to popular demand, holding a reunion to celebrate our 16th birthday? Especially with what we have got lined up for you! Joining the team of Tangled residents, including a special one-night only appearance from Phil Morse doing a classic Tangled warmup, are Lee Burridge, Paolo Mojo, Koma & Bones, DJ Adsorb, Bodidily, Dirty Analogue and Audio Farm! I think you will agree this is one hell of a line-up so get your tickets quickly.

King Unique share something in common with SHIFT: they love loud electronic dirt. "Obscene, dirty, filthy, immoral" sets out the King Unique agenda on "Dirty" by Dirty, the first of a series of singles released on Junior Boys Own, and over the 7 years that have followed, they have received global recognition for their individual brand of rough-edged house.
Their renowned DJ sets have made them regular names in the world's biggest clubs, so it's only right that we get them to unpack their studio in the Spektrum DJ booth. Bringing more than just record boxes, KU are able to re-edit and re-work any track on the fly. You may know some of the records, but you won't have heard them sound like this before!

Making the trip to Manchester for our second party is Glasgow's Milton Jackson. After his first album in 2001, "The Bionic Boy", MJ was described by Jockey Slut as ‘the most exciting thing to happen to UK house music’ and quite frankly, we'd have to agree, as over the past two years, Milton has cemented his reputation as someone who consistently provides quality, melodic and varied, deep tech-house.
Releases on Freerange and Urbantorque, collaborations with Shur-I-Kan, Jimpster, Andy Cato and of course massive DJ support from the SHIFT_ residents... we could go on and on, but we think it's best we let the music do the talking. Check out this mix by Milton at Funk D'Void's club, Moog, in Barcelona, recorded over the Sonar weekend.

Milton also runs a blog, which features regular mixes and release news.
We're very excited about this one! Milton plays at SHIFT_ on October 17th. Tickets available from Lamarrs and Skiddle.com
SHIFT_ launches this September at Manchester's brand new, intimate, state-of-the-art venue, Spektrum. A new project from the team behind Manchester clubbing institution, Sankeys, the club will boast a spectacular interior, with a sound system provided by Funktion 1 and a lighting system installed by MADRIX and is described as "Berlin meets New York via Manchester".
The club's policy will be to promote quality, underground, electronic music and SHIFT_ aims to achieve that by stepping away from the latest 'minimal' trends and getting back to what it's all about: having a real good f**king party!
For our opening night, we bring you Demi. Currently on tour with Desyn Masiello and Omid 16B as SOS promoting their recent Balance mix CD, the Deeper Substance head honcho is swapping Brazil and Ibiza for sunny Manchester to come and party with us! Demi's love of house music in all its forms and energy behind the decks make him the perfect guest for our first night.
Demi is happy to offer tips and advice on Afro styling and products, so if your unkempt mane needs some attention, be sure to buy him a beer, congratulate him on an incredible set, and absorb as much knowledge as possible to get your curls under control!
